Invention Convention

 

The 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students participate in a special kind of science fair called Invention Convention. It is designed to promote a child's problem solving and creative thinking skills. Students follow a step-by-step process to invent a new product or develop a new method for doing something.

Students learn about:

-Inventors and their inventions 
-Writing a research paper (cover page, report, bibliography) 
-Creating a new invention/modifying something to make it better
-The patent process
