Rainbows For All God’s Children

Rainbows For All God's Children is a support program offered to students at St. Constance School. It is a program for those children who have gone or are going through a grieving process which may include a death of a family member, a divorce, or any other painful transition in their family. Teachers, who have been formally trained as loving listeners, support these children within a group in which all are given the opportunity to share their feelings in an accepting environment. The aim of the Rainbows program is to furnish these students with an understanding and acceptance of their feelings and deal with their particular loss, to assist in building a stronger sense of self esteem, and ultimately to direct the children toward a healthy resolution of the changes which have taken place in their lives. Rainbows has been and will continue to be a helpful and viable program in our school.
