Vacation time is holiday time and time for rest. Everyone knows that it is the time for physical and intellectual rest. However it should never be a holiday from God and prayer. Even on vacation we need to make time for prayer and Sunday Mass. Sometimes in a new and unknown place it is difficult to find a Catholic Church, so I offer you this internet address www.masstimes.org and wherever you are you will be able to find a church and times when Mass is celebrated.
A part of today’s Gospel tells us of Jesus’ visit in Bethany to the home of Mary and Martha. It helps also to understand the sense of relaxation, of rest from everyday obligations, the sense of listening to the voice of God. So when you are going on your vacation I also encourage you take a Bible with you, concentrate on the New Testament. I assure you, that you will return from your vacation rested physically and strengthened spiritually.
On that note, I wish Father Maciej, Sister Agnieszka and Sister Bo¿ena happy vacation holidays with their families and friends.
