From the Pastor’s Desk,

The words of Christ in today’s Gospel not only encouraged the Apostles to go fishing in
the deeper parts of the sea, but these words become a challenge to the Apostles and to all of us
to turn our attention and our lives to that which is of most value—God and faith. In this
moment, the Church of Christ is being born…man’s response to God’s call for our more intimate
friendship with Him. In response to the Lord’s question of who should go out to proclaim His
Gospel and build up the Church of Christ on earth, let us answer with the words of the prophet
Isaiah in today’s first reading: “Here I am, send me.”

On the feast of St. Valentine, accept my warm thanks for your devotion to St. Constance
Parish. I wish everyone, but particularly all married and engaged couples, much love, joy and
peace.

Elsewhere in this bulletin you will be informed about our upcoming annual Archdiocesan
Catholic Appeal. Next week you will receive a brochure containing further information.

God bless!
Fr. Richard Milek
