Brothers and Sisters
Love, love, love . . .
I think that the most used word in the English language is the word “love”. In addition, I think this word is by far the most abused.
True love is not only the warm feeling you experience in the presence of another. True love is not even emotion. True love is choosing to give of yourself, to sacrifice yourself, for someone else. And not just a little. True love is the COMPLETE gift of yourself for another, even – as Christ himself showed us – unto death.
Take note of the many times you hear the word “love” being spoken. Very often, that spoken word and actual love can be seen as having nothing in common.
Dear Mommy, I never cease asking God,
who reigns in heaven, to protect you and
strengthen you in your maternal
vocation. Today, I thank God for you.
Thank you for telling your child about
Good God who made you a MOTHER.
You can always count on me
Your Priest,
Fr. Paul
