Dear Brothers and Sisters…

By considering the Lord’s Word given to us, I come to the conclusion that the time of Lent is a time to make an effort. Lent is very dynamic. We are called to be on the move. Jesus never says to us, “Stay where you are”, but always “Come!” and “Go!” and “Follow me!”.

The pilgrimage he wants us to go on with him is not a comfortable golf course. He asks us to climb, sweat, work and leave our comfort zones behind. If God asked you to live in Antarctica, for example, would you?

What is your “Ur of the Chaldeans” (the rich place that Abram left)? Is there anything today that the Lord is asking you to leave behind so that you can begin the journey of true faith?
