From the Pastor’s Desk…

“See what love the Father has bestowed on us that we may be called the children of God.  Yet so we are.”  This relationship with God was lost through sin, but regained through the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus.  He is the stone, rejected by the builders, Who has become the cornerstone.  It is He on Whom we long to build and in Whom we long to abide our entire life.  Pope St. John Paul II, during a visit to his homeland, laid this question on his fellow countrymen and on the whole world:  “Is it possible to reject Christ? “.  Yes, answered the Pope, but then with whom would we replace Him?  There are times when the world tries to take this cornerstone which is Christ away from us and convince us to build our lives on its proposed solid ideologies.  For the faithful, these are difficult and dangerous times.  Today, as we celebrate Mary, the Queen of the month of May, let us ask her to lead us always to Christ for only with Him and in Him do our lives make any sense.  Only with Him can we build and attain that goal which we call “eternity”.
